“Legends of India” has organized almost 75 music festivals across the country, presented an interesting ‘Morning Ragas’ & ‘Baithak’ series in collaboration with Sangeet Natak Akademi & Ministry of Culture. Legends of India provided a platform for more than 300 musicians who include ‘Legends’ of Indian Classical Music/Dance besides those who are ‘Legends in the making’. In the process, Legends of India has taken on a life of its own and gained momentum that pushes us forward to more and more
Sangeet, inclusive of both vocal and instrumental music as well as dance styles, is perhaps the highest form of art. It transcends the bounds of language and appeals to the inner spiritual core of all sensitive minds and hearts. To encourage and popularize the rich traditions of Indian Classical Music, Legends of India has inspired thousands of youth to join these musical sessions. ‘Legends of India’ has not only presented living legends like Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Bidushi Kishori Amonkar Vishwa Mohan Bhatt to mention a few but those who have the potential of becoming legends in their own lifetimes like Rashid Khan, Uday Bhawalkar, Bickram Ghosh, Debasmita Bhattacharya, and Ronu Majumdar among others.
